the challenge

Vanya approached me in need of branding, packaging design and additional brand elements such as stickers and cards to include with the desserts. All deserts were vegan and organic and she wanted her brand to reflect that as well. All brand elements and materials were to be printed on recycled materials for a more sustainable approach.

With a love of all things retro, Vanya wanted her brand to reflect that particular style yet be warm and approachable. We decided upon making her main brand elements to have clean lines and typography with the more organic elements being reflected in color choices and illustrations.

Each flavor of desert was created to have its own icon, illustration, and color palette.

Along with the logo, I created a variety of print materials such as business cards, ingredient cards that were placed in the boxes and bags of purchased products, and a menu list provided at the counter where Vanya’s desserts were sold. All were printed on recycled material.

Since Vanya had such varied sizes in treats, this called for a variety of ways to package them. They ranged from simple stickers with ingredient lists, sleeves for treats shaped in bars, to larger bulk packaging options. Some variations are shown below.
